As a kid, Ryan moved around the country as his father worked for various universities. Often, it was another first day at school, finding a seat at the lunch table, and trying to fit in. Not knowing anyone and being the shy kid was quite a challenge growing up! Over time, Ryan discovered showing interest in others, rather than trying to be interesting for others. Many life lessons were forged that Ryan brings to his career in risk management - navigating change, being comfortable in new situations, and creating community where everyone is welcome.
